Aizawl (Mizo News)/Borapansury: The Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) has reiterated its demand for excluding Chakmas and three other communities from Category-I of State Technical Entrance Examination 2014.
MZP in its press release stated that they have urged the authority to withdraw within this month (August 2014) the inclusion of Chakma and three other communities in the Category-I of the State Technical EntranceExamination 2014.
MZP vows to take further action if their demand is not fulfilled.
MZP said that it is on its demand that ‘The Mizoram (Selection of Candidates for Higher Technical Courses) Rules, 1999′ was created on June 7, 1999. Under this rules, STEE candidates are divided into three categories, Category-I being only for the indigenous people, MZP maintained.
In another news, AMC leaders and Central YMA were programmed to discuss AMC Licensing Regulation, 2012. Central YMA has demanded inclusion of tribal certificate as one of the necessary documents for obtaining AMC licence, but not yet successful in its demand.
In reply to query, Central YMA president Lalbiakzuala said, “As we afraid, they have given licence to non-tribal. So we are determined to go forward with our demand before licence is given to many non-tribals”.
